Ashlee loves horses. So when The “BleCorts” decide to make one last ditch effort to find the sun in 2011 we had to go for a horse back ride. Ash was a natural and when she told the horse guide she rides a lot they gave her the horse with a Tude. It even gave her the feel for what it would be like to jump. After she picked her heart out of her shoes. She said oh that was fun.
We could not have asked for better weather or company on this trip. We rented a 4 bedroom condo by Pineview Lake. During the day we took the kids to Snowbasin to ski and enjoy the Dew Tour.
Marlee is to daring and independent. This are the perfect ingredients for a great skier. We couldn’t find boots small enough for her feet if we weren’t careful lifting her up they would fall right off. Everything is just cuter when it’s small.
It was a long day on the plane so we had to get some much needed sleep too bad the hotel didn’t agree. Landed at 10 am but couldn’t check in until 3 and it’s pouring. Wandered deliriously until they would let us in.
After a few hours of jet lag sleep and dinner we end up at the only open Irish pub where coincidentally we meet up with some fellow ADPers. They’re nut jobs from Philly but a lot of fun. They talk us into going to a lawless part of Copenhagen called Christiana. Probably not the best idea we’ve ever had.
I think it was after the car bomb the 20 beers and the long walk in the rain. We decided ok time to go to bed. I am to old for 3 am.
On our way to Copenhagen and sure enough Big M got a migraine. Better today then later this week !!! Long flight today but I am sure it will be worth it!!
not sure how we do it but we always seem to figure if out…showed up at the train station at 6:59 thinking the 3 hour train ride to kilarney was at 7:10. Nope it was at 7:00 and next trAin isn’t for another 2 hours, so we decide to switch tickets at 7:07 to Galway for the 7:10 train. Two totally different cities on either side of the island. But last minute decision pays off and we make the train. On top of the 3 hour train ride we get on a last minute run to the bus 5 hour tour of Irish countryside with whAt had to be the worst comentator ever! It was beautiful though and so glad we did if. The cliffs of moher were amazing and we got to see killer sheep.
My favorite moments in Amsterdam
1. The river cruise, looking at all the crooked buildings
2. Chinatown and the crossdresser festival
3. Grandmas smooking weed
4. McDonalds at 4 in the morning
5. Cobblestones in heals (not so cool)
6. Best 12 dollar dinner ever (out of a box with chopsticks)
7. Fighting with 15 yearolds for bar space
8. Train ride through the countryside
9. Sitting in a local bar sampling 130 great beers and leaving smashed
Too many great things to list. Off to Dublin!!!!
